The participants learned about the different steps of making woodcuts: from planning the subject, copying it to the surface of a lime-tree block and cutting it out, to printing it on paper. This seemingly simple task turned out to be a real challenge for printmaking enthusiasts participating in the workshops for whom this was the first encounter with the materials and tools used by professional artists of the woodcut.
