The theme of this first meeting was the potential for using the MEK’s collection of Polish folk woodcuts as educational material in classroom projects on life cycles in nature. In the course of these workshops we shared tools useful for teaching children to observe the changes that take place in the lives of plants and animals and to name weather phenomena.

We presented various ideas for practical activities for both school-age and pre-school children using an extensive range of graphic techniques. The workshop participants were fascinated by the process of creating a very large size print supplemented with materials of various textures.
